Mapperley Tunnel, Near Gedling, Nottingham. The tunnel collapsed in part in 1925 and was repaired but throughout the 50's suffered from speed restrictions due to mining subsidence bringing about its demise on 4th April 1960. This is how it looked on 28th June 2008, some 48 years after its closure.
