The way it used to be - track renewal work at Clifton on Trent during a spring in 1965. BR 0-6-0 shunter D3479 is in attendance having brought the relaying train from Lincoln. D3479 was one of a small number built in 1958 with a Blackstone engine, and was withdrawn from service in 1969, never receiving a TOPS classification.
