Parked up on some isolated sidings on the ouskirts of Plovdiv is BZK (Bulgarian Railway Company) Class 60 No. 60-0685. Under the cab side windows it carries the 'ROLLING STOCK' logo and branding, a joint operation that was run for a while by GFR (Grup Feroviar Roman) and CFR Marfa. This locomotive is of a type that dates back to the late 1950's and early 1960's, built by SLM/Sulzer/BrownBoveri and later by the Romanian manufacturer Electroputere. Reports suggest that at least five examples remain in service in 2022.
