The original Penydarren locomotive was never preserved, but this full-sized working replica was built by the then Welsh Industrial & Maritime Museum in 1981. The replica engine is owned by the National Museums and Galleries of Wales and is seen at the National Waterfront Museum, Swansea on 1st June 2008.
