A pair of 'Hoovers' pass Meadowhall heading north away from Sheffield with a charter in October 1981. The identity of the leading loco is not known, however the second one is 50040. Meadowhall is not very aptly named as can be seen from the backdrop which includes a sewage plant, cooling towers (now demolished) and the M1 motorway (Tinsley viaduct).
