Following the introduction of Grand Central's Bradford to King's Cross service on 23 May, the opportunity now exists for enthusiasts to travel the former freight only line from Knottingley via Askern to Shaftholme Junction, north of Doncaster. Here, on 3rd June 2010, the 10.22 from Bradford diverges on to the Askern line at Knottingley West Junction, formed of an unidentified class 180 'Adelante' unit.
