The 22nd May 2004 was FA Cup Final Day and, due to the reconstruction of Wembly Arena the match was being held at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. To handle the influx of supporters a 'Park and Ride' system was introduced in Newport with a rail shuttle service to Cardiff. Former Virgin Class 47, No. 47805 was hired in from Freightliner to work one of the shuttles with a train of Virgin liveried Mk IIs seen here near Rumney on the South Wales Main Line at 11.20 am.
