Black Five, No. 44901 in an advanced state of rusty decay, at Woodham's Scrapyard, in May 1984. The crosshead appears to have had grease applied, probably by a prospective purchaser in an attempt to reduce the damage caused by the corrosion. A price of £7,500 + VAT has been painted on the cabside.
