The recent withdrawal of Voyager Class 221 No. 221144 was done to remove a pair of vehicles to convert the other two four-car units into standard 5-car trainsets. On 24th February 2011, recently converted unit No. 221143 Auguste Picard passed through Winwick heading north on a Euston - Lancaster service.
