A gleaming BR Britannia Class 7MT 4-6-2 No. 70013 ‘Oliver Cromwell’ stands at the head of Loughborough Shed, during the GCR’s ‘Mini Steam Gala’, on 26th February 2011. It seems an awful long time since the engine suffered a firebox crack, but work continues apace to return the locomotive to service, with a scheduled mainline excursion now just two weeks away.
