Although its GWR heritage is obvious, maroon-liveried autocoach No. W238W Chaffinch is clearly a more modern vehicle than GWR chocolate & cream-liveried No. 178 at the rear of this train, being built by BR in 1954. They are approaching Middle Forge Junction with a nominally non-stop service from Norchard Low Level to Lydney Junction on 3rd July 2011, the second of the Dean Forest Railway's Great Western Branchline Days.
