In glorious weather, BR Class 7MT 4-6-2 No. 70013 ‘Oliver Cromwell’ stands at Ely, during a scheduled water stop. The locomotive was running well, arriving 10 minutes ahead of schedule, reminiscent of its introduction 60 years ago when it took 20 minutes off the London to Norwich time. Seen here on 2nd July 2011, the locomotive was working the return (1Z71) Norwich to London Liverpool Street service.
