Emerging out of the early morning fog at Copmanthorpe, south of York on 19th November 2011, are Class 50's Nos. 50049 'Defiance' and 50044 'Exeter', hauling Spitfire Railtours' 'Edinburgh Explorer II' from Preston to Edinburgh via Manchester Victoria and Leeds. Class 57 No. 57001 was attached to the rear and was expected to work the mini-tour around the Fife circle.
