The train is comprised of a new seven car S-stock unit Nos 113/114 for London Undergound that is sandwiched between the barrier vehicles and sister locomotive No. 66732 GBRf The First Decade 1999-2009 John Smith MD tailing the rear of the formation. The photograph was taken as the train made its way towards the Leicestershire test centre along the lightly-used freight-only line between Leicester Junction, Burton-on-Trent and Knighton Junction, Leicester.
