HN Rail Class 20s Nos 20311 and 20314 in their distinctive orange, black and yellow livery are at the leading end of working 7X09, 1142 Old Dalby to Amersham as the train, comprised of a seven car S-stock unit Nos 311 and 312 for London Underground, join the Derby to Birmingham main line at Branston Junction, Burton-on-Trent on 24th September 2012 around 30 minutes earlier than scheduled and following a two-and-a-half hour layover at the junction prior to continuing its journey to the capital. At the rear of the formation that includes a barrier vehicle at both ends of the S-Stock are classmates Nos 20107 and 20096, both of which carry BR blue livery.
