Sunday 7th October 2012 was quite a busy day for Carlisle with East Coast Services diverted by the WCML and then via Newcastle. In addition a failed tamper at Penrith was adding to the already busy scene. Here Class 185 No. 185120 leads No. 185113 with a combined TransPennine express train to Manchester Airport as they await their slot in the single line process.
