Metropolitan Cammell prototype DMU Class 151 No. 151001 stands at Crewe January 1989 with the destination blind showing Not in Public Use. The unit was built in the spring of 1985 and along with No's. 151002, 150001 and 150002 were tested initially on Derby - Matlock services.The unit was originally a 3 car unit 55202-55402-55302 but reduced to a 2 car.The unit was withdrawn March 1989 and stored at Llandudno Jct before being moved to LNWR at Crewe where it was scrapped in the spring of 2004.
