The general scene depicting an array of classic ex-BR locomotives parked in the sidings of the Nemesis Rail Depot, Burton-on-Trent on a sunny morning of Wednesday 13th March 2013. In the centre of the picture the following locomotives are visible; Class 26 No. 26011, Class 47 No's. 47744 and 47488, and Class 56 No. 56038. On the immediate left is Class 73/1 No. 73134 'Woking Homes 1885-1985' and extreme left are ex-Fertis Class 56 No's. 56065, 56007 and 56081. On the right locomotives No's. 08892, Class 31/4 31461 and Class 45/1 45112 'The Royal Army Ordnance Corps' with industrial shunting locomotive No. HE8805 'Laura' visible on the extreme right. Partially visible at the rear of the Depot building is Class 73/1 No. 73117. The Depot building was originally built in the late 1960's for the maintenance of merry-go-round hopper wagons but the facility ceased operations during the 1990's. The site moved into private ownership for industrial use for a number of years before Nemesis Rail took over the site in 2011. Since then the site has accumulated locomotives and rolling stock. The Depot has also undertaken maintenance work on wagons and coaching stock during this time as well as arrivals and departures of other ex-BR locomotives.
