First Great Western Class 180 Adelante 5-car diesel multiple unit No. 180106 is seen passing south through Rugeley Trent Valley station on 15th February 2012. The unit was working an Old Oak common to Kilmarnock works, for refurbishment after use by Northern Rail on services from Blackpool North to Manchester Victoria, and had worked up the west coast main line as far as Stafford where it was stopped and rerouted to the east coast line and then ran via Lichfield and Derby to gain access to that route. The unit returned to Old Oak Common after refurbishment by the west coast route approximately six weeks later for further use by First Great Western.
