SR Battle of Britain Class Pacific No. 34070 'Manston' crosses Swithland Viaduct with the 10:27 TPO departure from Loughborough Central at the GCR Autumn Steam Gala on 6th October 2013. No. 34070 emerged from the Brighton Works of the Southern Railway in November 1947 and thus became the last locomotive to be built on the Southern Railway before Nationalisation on 1st January 1948.
