Running around 90 minutes late, LNER Class A4 No. 4464 (60019) 'Bittern' passes through a hailstorm at Durham on 5th December 2013, while working the 'Tyne Tees Streak' charter which originated in Bristol. The steam loco took over at York and although passed for 90mph running, speed was restricted due to the high winds. The return journey was considerably faster however, covering the 62 miles from Chester-le Street to Tollerton at an average of 76mph.
