Class 56 No. 56073 derailed at Welbeck Colliery on 21st January 1985 under the rapid loading bunker. The 56 was derailed on 18th (Friday) and rerailed on 21st (Monday) by the Doncaster rerailing train which arrived behind Class 37/0 No. 37045. No. 56073 was taken into stock at Tinsley on 29th February 1980 and after 22 years service, was stored at Immingham on 24th June 2002. It was moved to Toton on 17th July 2004 and stripped to provide spares for the 56s going to France. The remains were cut up at EMR Kingsbury in April 2012.
