The rare sight of a TPE Class 350 EMU No. 350410 in one of the terminus platforms at Manchester Piccadilly on 26th April 2014. The unit had worked the BLS/TPE Clyde Race Tracker Railtour which included the highlight of a fast Non Stop run from Glasgow Central to Manchester Piccadilly. Despite a very brief stop for crew purposes at Carlisle the run was achieved in 2hrs 45mins at an average speed of 80mph. This is believed to be a record for the route and thanks are due to TPE and Network Rail for all their planning and assistance. After arrival at platform 13 the railtour had then traversed Longsight down goods loop and reversed into the terminus via Ardwick Junction.
