Built by Henschel in Kassel, 1913, steam locomotive 50 worked on the RTM 1067mm tram network that (along with ferries) connected Rotterdam to the islands on the Rhine-Meuse delta to its south up to 1966. The RTM Museum preserves its heritage and runs trains on summer Wednesdays and Thursdays. The RTM's track runs 10km along the Brouwersdam, built in the 1960s as part of the Delta Project flood prevention works, it therefore does not follow original RTM trackbed.
