The North Yorkshire Moors Railway operated a special train from Whitby to Pickering on 6th March 2015 to mark the 50th anniversary of the closure of the line in 1965. Hauled by LNER K4 No. 61994 'The Great Marquess' and K1 No. 62005, the special passes Moorgates bound for Pickering.
