GWR 5600 Class 0-6-2T No. 6697 is pictured on 16th May 2015 inside the main Engine Shed at the Didicot Railway Centre. This loco was built by Armstrong Whitworth of Newcastle in 1928 for work in the Welsh Valleys where locos were required more for their adhesion rather than speed, so weight was not wasted by being spread over small non-driven wheels.
