Rochester new station will replace the old station (lamps visable bottom right) over the the weekend of the 12th / 13th December 2015. The new station is closer to the Cathedral and Castle which are out of sight on the left. Once the East Kent re-signalling has been completed the signal box will be demolished and the loop platform will be connected to the main line under the signal gantry (bottom left). Behind the station a new multi-storey car park is under construction. Note the Russian submarine behind the crane. This view is taken from Jackson's Field, Rochester on 6th December 2015.
