BR Class 81 No.81020 has just arrived at Birmingham New Street with a Glasgow to Poole service train on 24th July 1984. Built by Birmingham Railway Carriage Works in 1962 and originally designated as Class AL1, it carried pre-TOPS No. E3023. Withdrawal came in September 1987 and was cut up at Coopers Metals, Attercliffe in December 1991.
