On 8th April 2016, the Swanage Railway operated trains beyond Norden as far as the River Frome for the first time. The inaugural service is seen approaching Holme Lane Bridge on the way back to Swanage, headed by GWR 2-8-0T No. 4247 (visiting from the Bodmin & Wenford Railway) with U Class No. 31806 at the rear.
