The 12th May 2018, saw the 40th anniversary of the derailment at Oyne, Aberdeenshire. BR Class 120304, travelling from Aberdeen to Inverness, derailed a few minutes after a bridge strike which caused distortion of the track. Fortunately there were no serious injuries. Photo taken from a passing SRPS railtour returning from Dufftown to Falkirk.
