Appropriately-liveried GBRF Class 66/7 No. 66780 'The Cemex Express' passes Shepreth Branch Junction on 3rd September 2021, conveying empty wagons from Barrington to Willesden Euroterminal. This is the return service which delivers spoil from HS2 tunnels at Old Oak Common to the Cemex landfill site in the disused quarry at Barrington. The line here runs parallel with DNA-inspired cycle path between AddenbrookeĆ¢??s Hospital and Great Shelford. It is decorated with 10,257 colourful stripes, which represent the four nucleotides of the BRCA2 gene.
