Green Lane station is located on the 'Wirral Line' and is unusual, being partly under cover with a multitude of substantial girders and brick arches supporting the long closed branch of the Birkenhead Dock Railway. Here, shafts of sunlight pierce through the girders illuminating ‘Merseyrail' Class 507 No. 507009 as it makes its scheduled call on an Ellesmere Port out and back working via Liverpool Central on a beautiful 1st June 2022.
