DB Class 66/0 No. 66056 passes Plumpton on 11th May 2023 with the Neasden to Newhaven Marine aggregate empties. The loco failed some three miles further south and completely blocked the Lewes and Eastbourne main line. It was rescued by Colas Rail Class 37/0 No. 37254 which was commandeered from route learning duties to act as 'Thunderbird' pushing the train to Newhaven, arriving some 216 minutes late.
