Approaching the Connington North level crossing while working the return journey of the of a Charter service from Finsbury Park to Lincoln on 7th October 2023, is Castle class No. 7029 Clun Castle.
Running, as it is, along the ECML one is reminded of the Locomotive exchange that took place in 1925 along the same line.
