On 28th February 2025, Avanti West Coast Class 805/0 No. 805010 speeds passed the former Talacre signal-box with the 14:48 Holyhead to London Euston. The signal box was in use until 2018, and used to control access into the exchange sidings of the former Point of Ayr colliery which closed in 1996.
