At Willington on 9th April 2025, a view showing the old and new liveries on XC Class 170 Turbostars, with the first refurbished unit 170101, on the 14:07 Nottingham to Cardiff central service, passing sister unit 170104 on the 14:12 Birmingham New Street to Derby service. XC plans to refurbish all their 29 170's (80 carriages in total) at Arrival TrainCare at Crewe by the start of 2028.
