On 11th April 2025, GWR heavy freight 2-8-0 Class 2884 No. 3802, built at Swindon between 1938-39, runs around its train at Glyndyfdwy. This was in preparation for its return journey to Corwen, on day one of the Llangollen Railway weekend Branch Line Gala.
