On 17th April 2025, the Network Rail New Measurement Train headed by Class 43 No. 43062 'John Armitt' with classmate No. 43013 'Mark Carne' at the rear speeds along the River Dee sea wall near Ffynnongroyw, with a high speed infrastructure train. Starting at 11.00 from Derby RTC this train travels via Holyhead, Crewe, Liverpool Lime Street, Runcorn and Stafford before arriving back at Derby RTC at approximately 02:00.
