An unusual form of Rail transport is the hand operated Velocipede. Designed as a tool of private convenience on the Michigan Central Railway and patented in 1879 eventually over 4000 were sold in the US and Europe. This example is seen in the East Anglian Railway Museumat Chappel on 20th July 2025.
