A remarkable working occurred on 5th August 2025 when WCRC transferred four of its steam locomotives back to Carnforth from The Great Gathering event in Derby along with various support coaches. The quadruple header comprising SR Merchant Navy No. 35018 British India Line, LMS Royal Scot No. 46115 Scots Guardsman, LMS Jubilee No. 45699 Galatea and LMS Black 5 No. 44932 head away from Skipton as the 10.41 Derby Litchurch Lane - Carnforth Steamtown.
