Following the closure of Ty Glas station on the Coryton line on 19th July for platform-extension work, Transport for Wales Class 756/0 units have been introduced on the Coryton-Penarth-Caerphilly-Penarth-Coryton diagrams, with usually one or two units working daily alongside remaining Class 150/2 sprinters. On 13th August 2025 we see No. 756002 approaching Rhiwbina station on its way from Coryton to Penarth. The stations on the Coryton branch are all relatively close to each other; the previous stop, Whitchurch, can be seen in the distance.
