The Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway's Steam Gala on 4th - 6th September featured Sierra Leone Railway locomotive No.85 and matching carriages. The African Train, comprising the locomotive and recently renovated carriages 1066 and 1207, made two journeys during the Gala weekend. The locomotive was turned out in black undercoat for the event to replicate its appearance in Africa. It is seen approaching Sylfaen with Friday's train.
