As the weather and corrosion took their toll, and the paint peeled-off the locomotives and tenders at Woodham's Scrapyard, some interesting pictures emerged. Here, on the side of a tender, a pair of opposite-facing logos - lion with a mangle-wheel - appears. Perhaps this was a fore-runner of the opposing arrows that were used years later, by British Rail?.
