Chatteris Station in Cambridgeshire, looking north, circa 1964. Opened in 1848, Chatteris was situated on the March – Cambridge line, initially within the Eastern Counties Railway, and at its closure, the British Railways (Eastern Region). Closed on 6th March 1967, and demolished within the 1970’s, the trackbed now supports the A141. Copyright remains with the photograph owner, Mr. Tony Gale, who has given his consent for use.
