In 1999 when traffic was diverted onto the S&C due to engineering works on the WCML on the Northern Fells, the standby loco was positioned at Blea Moor. Here Class 47 No. 47757 (47579, 47183, and D1778) Restitution is the standby loco on 13th March 1999.
