Weekend engineering works on the Great Eastern main line have resulted in a number of Saturday container workings to and from the east coast ports being diverted via the Peterborough to Ely line through Cambridgeshire, bringing regular Freightliner Class 70 workings over a route that normally sees little more than an endless procession of Class 66 locomotives on freight workings. In this image, 70009 is seen heading the 4M41 Ipswich Yard to Crewe Basford Hall working past the Three Horse Shoes signalbox at Turves on 6th October 2012.
