Broad gauge replica 'Arend' stands in steam outside the Nederlands Spoorwegmuseum (Dutch Railway Museum) in Utrecht on 20th August 2012. The original locomotive, built in England by R. B. Longridge and Company of Bedlington, hauled its first train in 1839, between Amsterdam and Haarlem. The replica locomotive is itself now 73 years old having been built in 1939 to celebrate 100 years since the original locomotive took to the rails.
