On the 6th November 2015 DCR Class 56 No. 56303 collected preserved Class 47s No. 47712 and No. 47192 from Crewe Heritage Centre and took them to Derby. The following day No. 56303 travelled to Dereham to collect coaching stock from the Mid-Norfolk Railway, again returning to Derby. On a dark and wet 8th November 2015 No. 56303 is seen with Class 47/7 No. 47712, in ScotRail livery, and Class 47/0 No. 47192, in two-tone BR green livery, and the ecs as it passes Derby Station on the 08:53 Chaddesden sidings to Bishop Auckland working. The Class 47s and the stock are to be used for Santa specials on the Weardale Railway.
