An unusual test train on 6th December 2015 was the morning 10:46 Derby RTC to Tonbridge working, travelling via Lichfield and the WCML rather than via the MML, here seen at Catholme just before taking the line to Alrewas with Colas Rail Class 37/4 No. 37421 leading. The Network Rail coaches were No's. 977969, 977986, 977985, and 999602, with DBSO No. 9714 trailing.
