Since their introduction a few years ago, the use of Class 68s on Network Rail test trains has been rare and the sighting of the Class 68s in the South West of England is rarer still. Here at Patchway, and unusually allocated on one of the workings, Class 68 No. 68004 'Rapid' leads the 05:55 Old Oak Common-Derby Network Rail test train with sister Class 68 No. 68002 'Intrepid' bringing up the rear on 1st April 2016.
